Our Story
When we were searching for a care home for our grandparents, we walked into community after community and left feeling disappointed. We met administrators who had never experienced what families go through. We saw residents sitting in hallways with no one to talk to. We heard promises about “personalized care” that turned out to mean one overworked caregiver for 15 or more residents.
We promised ourselves we would create something different.
That promise became Ambria Assisted Living — a community built from a family’s firsthand experience with the frustrations and heartbreak of finding quality care for the people who matter most. We opened our doors in Montgomery, TX in October 2025 with a simple belief: every resident deserves the kind of attentive, dignified care we’d want for our own family.

Carrie Smith
Administrator
Carrie Smith brings over a decade of dedicated senior living experience to her role as Administrator at Ambria Assisted Living. Carrie has built her career around one passion: ensuring residents receive compassionate, high-quality care every day.
Before joining Ambria, Carrie held leadership roles at several senior living communities across the greater Houston area, including serving as a Memory Care Program Director and managing residential care homes. Her hands-on experience spans resident assessments, care plan development, medication management, staff training, and family communication. She has a particular depth of expertise in memory care, having directed Alzheimer’s and dementia programs at multiple communities.
Carrie is known for her warm, hands-on leadership style and her belief that great senior care starts with building genuine relationships — with residents, families, and staff alike.
Jen Ullrich
Operations Manager
Jen Ullrich serves as Operations Manager at Ambria Assisted Living, where she keeps the community running behind the scenes and helps spread the word about what makes Ambria special. From training care teams and onboarding new residents to leading tours for prospective families, Jen is often the first friendly face people meet when exploring senior living options.
She also drives Ambria’s sales and marketing efforts, building relationships throughout the Montgomery County community and ensuring families understand the personalized care and welcoming environment Ambria provides. Her passion for connecting people with the right care makes her a natural ambassador for the community.
